The first car was built in 1963 for the race track base of the Knight brothers' Winfield racing school. The cars designation MK refers to the collaboration between the two businesses.
Most French formulae were successfully catered for including F2, until the venture in F1 in 1978. Martini pulled out at year's end and returned to build cars for the French domestic market.
