Vanwall (Vandervell Products Ltd)

Guy Anthony Vandervell, owner of Thinwall bearings, began racing with the Thinwall Ferrari. He later moved on to his own designs.

Vanwall was always a very thorough organisation, each year the cars were dismantled and completely revised and rebuilt (hence the difficulty with model numbers, as all cars were known by the chassis number).

Upset by the death of Stuart Lewis- Evans, the team withdrew from extensive racing and finally closed due to ill health of the owner.
