BBC/Sky: Poll only

Post

Who in the UK will continue to follow F1 when only half of the season is shown on "free to air" TV?

I know that many will have thoughts on this, but I beg you, please only vote if you pay annually for a BBC license fee.

Sorry Steven, my mistake. I should have made that clear.

Hey Spike, good idea, but I think that would be better if a seperate poll. With Tomba's permission, I would suggest you create a seperate one.

I am very interested in knowing how many will switch off in 2012 under the current plans.

I so desperately want to click I'll never not watch again. I know I clearly will though.

The poll is too polarised. Shouldn't we ask what people are intending? The options available to viewers are below...

- I will use BBC coverage only
- I have sky sports already
- I'll join sky for £39.75 per month (or £50 for HD)
- I'll add sky sports to my existing BT Vision (£12.30 per month)
- I'll add sky sports to my existing Virgin service (£25 - 50 per month)
- I'll watch RTL signal for free and listen to Radio 5
- I'll pick up a pirate stream online
- I'll probably stop watching F1

ps - for those choosing the second option, a mischievous family member could make your life hell by turning on the TV during a live BBC race. Are you really going to get up and walk out the room?

I think it needs an undecided option also.

But your poll doesn't capture that as you don't allow for people like me who will pay for Sky to continue watching F1 in all its glory. So which option should I vote for? Artificially propping up the BBC option or putting myself as undecided?

You've asked a loaded question.

I second what Richard Leeds and Sawtooth-Spike are saying.

I would like to vote here, but I don't see an option that suits me;

- I am first and foremost an F1 fan, and regardless of who is broadcasting it in the UK, I will watch it.
