Nose has to change - low nose regs, remember.

Nose tip down to half wheel/tire height.

Erh, I know what you're getting at, but I doubt the Webber incident can be attributed to the high noses. Accidents like that, where a driver hits the rear wheel of the car in front and becomes airborne, predates high noses by more than 20 years.
The risk associated with the high noses is much better showcased in the Liuzzi-Schumacher incident in Abu Dhabi 2010. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tok2kBc2 ... re=related

what?

Webbers crash was the result of his front wheel hitting kovalainens back wheel. the countering rotations of the 2 wheels at the point of contact was what launched webber. the nose should just disintegrate on impact. theres little if any digging in.

At no point in time were the wheels in contact with each other.

The wheels did not touch each other but Marks nose sure did.
Thats what made him launch in the air. A lower nose wouldnt make any difference in this situation..
Now get back on TOPIC..

Ross Brawn told them they will not fight for the championship in 2012.
In my eyes thats realistic and fair to everyone in the world. It´s also a good to lower the pressure at all the workers at the MGP team.

With the new regulations with the forbidden blown diffuser, lower nose etc.

It will be a whole new lottery! What i do know that it will be the end of the Red Bull Domination Time.
We saw it earlier. Schumacher ruled with benneton 94,95. Williams did in 96,97. Mclaren 98,99 and Alonso did it with Renault in 2005, 2006.

MGP has won´t make any stupid mistakes like the short wheelbase and stupid fuel tank.
They already have the basics like chassis, wheelbase, suspension, engine maps and all other basic stuff optimized and ready.
They also wont make the same mistake with the cooling problem. I think they have pretty clear understanding to build a championships car.

They must be very carefull if they want to come with something special again like the double diffuser and short wheelbase for instance.

I think they will fight for the championship next year.. the car will be really nothing like the wo2, except for the colors.

:wtf:

I repeat. At NO POINT were the wheels touching. Heikki's right rear touched Mark's nose. Here's the appropriate screen grab from that particular moment:

And screen grab from Mark's onboard:

Are you now satisfied that I am completely sane and telling the truth?

You "know" that do you? Watch and learn. We are witnessing the products of one of the finest F1 minds ever. Newey will, IMHO, be spoken of in the same class as Colin Chapman. BTW: I much prefer black stallions to red cows, but I appreciate a great mind when I see one.

I like Merc alot, but I would need controlled substances to generate this much optimism about this team, especially when I take into consideration their track record.

Edit: digging around in the W01 thread and found this and had a laugh:

Well, do read into that Schumacher is an absolutely brilliant driver.
First day back and already he is dishing out a can of whooopass.

Rosberg tried very very hard yesterday to establish a time equivalent to Schumacher's. Unless Nico can find his rhythm he is going to be better off taking BArrichello's advise and get the heck out of there!

I think it's safe to say Rosberg has shown that he can hang with Shumi or beat him.
