Fantasy F1 Interforum League 2012

The season is about to start, so it's time for you to make your predictions for this year's interforum league. F1technical finished 9th out of 13 last season.

If you are late joining, don't worry, you will get some points for each race you missed (usually 20), and you can still help the forum in the league.

How to play:
Register on zdkf1and start your nickname with “f1tec”. (If you forget, please edit your nickname here.)
Add the other entrants whose nicknames start with “f1tec” as your friends.
For each race, predict the top 10 finishers, the pole position and pole time.
The prediction deadline is 10pm (GMT) on the Thursday before each race (except Monaco).
How the scoring works on zdkf1

How the league scoring works:
For each race, the league entrants are ranked by the zdkf1 points they scored (tiebreaker is accuracy of poletime guess) and then points awarded to the forums similar to the F1 points system, although only the top 2 from each forum can score league points. Example:

Is this a team effort - i.e. do we split our strategies to ensure we have the highest possible chance of scoring points each round? Or is it for personal glory?

Theree's elements of both personal and team glory. Poorly photoshopped trophies will be awarded at the end of the year to the forum who are league winners, the best entrant on the zdkf1 scoreboard, the "bernie ecclestone medal", and the best pole time guesser

Predictions tend to be varied without having to organise strategies. but you can if you want.

A great start of the season for cliptheapex with 1st and 4th. Defending champions not606 are second in the league after a 2nd and 6th. Element is f1technical's only person in the points in 9th. A brilliant start of the season for me personally with 51 points

This year, I've decided to base the quali award (formerly the Jarno Trulli award, but I guess it will need a new name this year!) on how many points you score for pole time guess. At this early stage of the season there are five players all tied for first; the best player from f1technical is skyz on 2 points.

Not606's f1mcnick has taken the lead in the quali trophy after an amazing guess for China which was only a 1000th of a second away from the actual pole time, putting him on 5 points. Skyz is the best placed from f1technical on 4 points.

Today's winner is new-606's mr_t with an impressive 47 points which moves mr_t into 5th place overall on zdkf1 and new-606 into third in the league.
