So surely the traditional F1 podium hat is a leather cap/helmet all the drivers are wearing? Either that or there are a lot of Pork Pie hats in the crowd.

As the the British GP how could it be anything other than a flat cap?

Haha...while i admire your photoshop skills, i would envision a mountie hat for canada.
I figured it was either a toque(snow cap) or a Hockey helmet, the Mountie hat never crossed my mind #-o
