Thought we'd already established is was his bad start in Japan. Lewis should have been absolutely perfect in order to overcome those pesky mechanical issues, that's why Rosberg is so deserving of his title because he was absolutely perfect at keeping his PU from blowing up unlike Hamilton.

Rinse, lather, repeat.

2016 WDC
ROS - 385
HAM - 380

2015 WDC
HAM - 380
ROS - 322
Invalid.. 2015 = 19 rounds. 2016 = 21 rounds. So you actually are helping Hamilton's case.

adjusted:

2016 WDC
ROS - 385 , total points in season = 525, Nico took 73% of them.
HAM - 380 hamilton took 67%

2015 WDC
HAM - 380 total 475 = 80% of total possible
ROS - 322= 67%

Hamilton unreliable 2016 season was more dominant than Nico's best ever. 8)
Hamilton 2015, even while easing up with 3 races to go, was effortlessly better than Nico's team assisted 2016.

Since points don't matter, does that mean I can award the title to six-time World Champion Fernando Alonso?

By the way, what happened yesterday with Hamiton is more than weird, feeling umwell after 1 hour? :?
Maybe he went out to the clubs Hamilton style? to forget he lost the WDC? Dunno, I also found it strange.

I once did a test with a massive hangover and wanted to stop after an hour. And I was only working as a data engineer...

Full disclosure, I wanted Hamilton to win, but I'm not crazy enough to say Nico was underserving etc. He won, let's get over it and look to 2017.

Same here. Senna himself didnt win every year and same happened to mansel. Even more bad luck. Thats just how it goes. And Nico is also very good. I wouldnt even go as far as putting drivers like max above him as yet. No evidence to support that nico isnt top 5. He has his strengths.
