What I see:

- Wider cars (2000 mm instead of 1800 mm)
- Wider wheels (380 and 460 mm F/R instead of 355 and 365 mm). That's a lot of rubber! WTF? Now G-forces are not important?
- Wider bodywork behind the engine (2000 mm instead of 1000 mm).
- Heavier car (605 kg instead of 600)
- KERS device (now it has a name...) can store 60 kW and use 400 kJ per lap.
- ECUs are designed and software approved by FIA
- Radio is open to FIA and "when appropriate" to broadcasters
- New yellow, blue and red lights inform the driver of traffic conditions.
- The "black box" has a blinking light to inform stewards of the severity of a crash

I don't understand the wider wheels purpose. Anyway, let's kick the wind tunnel, NOW.

Jason where did you go? You havent been on latelyt?
Simon: Nils? You can close in now. Nils?
John McClane: [on the guard's phone] Attention! Attention! Nils is dead! I repeat, Nils is dead, ----head. So's his pal, and those four guys from the East German All-Stars, your boys at the bank? They're gonna be a little late.
Simon: [on the phone] John... in the back of the truck you're driving, there's $13 billon dollars worth in gold bullion. I wonder would a deal be out of the question?
John McClane: [on the phone] Yeah, I got a deal for you. Come out from that rock you're hiding under, and I'll drive this truck up your ass.

And where is the blackbox located and do marshals have to look at a flashing light to see if someone has scrapped a wall or ploughed into a barrier at 200+mph :?

Kinetic Energy Recovery System.

Let's see... 400kJ/lap. Assuming a typical lap of 1:15 with 70% full throttle, that means if the "KERS boost" is used full-time, that's 7.62kW boost... that's 10.2hp. From a 750hp engine. Use the boost for only 15% of the lap, and it becomes a more meaningful 47.7hp. Eh?

This shows the FIA isn't really serious about pushing hybrid tech.... they're merely piggybacking the marketing buzzword of the day.

Wider cars? That would lessen overtaking since the track will have less space, what the f*** are the FIA doing? People want more overtaking FFS!!! :!:

nowadays tracks are so wide compared to old days ones. That rule looks usefull to provide more mechanical grip

i think the "black box" is under the drivers seat ... but the light is situated as close to the marshall de-clutch switch as possible

What on earth is FIA doing? An extra 5kg does not help in anything.

the 605kg is in for 2007,

Each car must now have an emergency anti-penetration panel constructed of 6.2mm Zylon.
An additional five kg has been added to the minimum race weight of the car to offset the emergency chassis panel.
