The Ferrari F310 was a beauty, the F310B was not.

Mind you i didnt like the general look of any of the 97 spec cars. 1997 was a bad year for F1 lookers. :D

I personally liked the MP4/20 of 2005. I wish McLaren stuck to the black and white cars.

Forever and ever the most beautiful f1 cars were and will remain JPS Lotuses. It is all about livery design. R27 is one of the sexiest cars but ugly livery makes it look ugly. Why I prefer JPS Lotus? Because they have it all in one - they are sophisticated and aggressive in the same time. Other F1 cars are either sophisticated or aggressive but rarely both.

You're all wrong, to be truly beautiful there has to be no chance of you ever having one (sounds harsh I know) because natural human instinct is to want most what you can't have.

Now all these cars, you never know, if you win the lottery or somehow gain alot of money you might just get one, which is why this is the most beautiful of all...

The Auto Union Streamliner, this is Avus in 1937 and the car in question (nearest us) is travelling at around 239mph!!! Ok so its closed wheel, 16 cylinder car producing a staggering 520hp and reaching 254mph, 60 years ago!!!

There are absolubtly none left. Because the Auto Union factory was in East Germany after the war the Russians took all of the cars as prizes and for some reason scrapped all the Streamliners. A tragic loss but anyone with GT4 (saddly not me) can apparently drive the car round the original Avus track and anyone without can watch this video...in awe.

+1. Lotus always appealed to me more than the Ferraris of that time...even though ive seen very few of them..even Lotus production cars are very good looking like the Espirit,Exige,Europa etc. after the F355, i hardly found Ferraris 'beautiful'..same in F1(except for the F2007, i love it!)

Ferrari indeed make the most beautiful cars be it in F1 or road sportscars. I personally love the F2007, F248 and the F2004, however the MP4/20 was sexy as hell.

F2004

I also think that the current RB3 is an art masterpiece and the livery is simply jaw-dropping

Sorry, 70 years ago, the page I found alot of the info from was a few years out of date and I was too dumb to notice

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, it's all personal preference. Personally, when the "T" shaped camera housing on the top of the roll structure was introduced, F1 cars became very unattractive. These days, with all the flip-ups and winglets and vanes and such, the entire flowing, sensual lines of an automobile have been replaced by a whole bunch of aero devices flying in close formation.
And I agree with manchild, the JPS Lotus livery was more than wonderful, it was the best.
