The Speed commentators during the race mentioned that Ron Dennis had said that the McLaren has gained 2.5 seconds during the course of the season... which leads me to believe that the Ferraris have equaled or bettered that pace, awesome.

But i've really got to give kudos to the Renault team. If the Ferrari and McLaren have gained this much pace through develpment year long, the Renault has probably improved even more dramatically, whilst the BMW team looks like they've put this years car on hold for concentrating on next years chassis.

I'm really interested to see what Renault brings to the table to start next year. Maybe we'll be able to look forward to a 3 horse race next year!

Also. Vettel man. This kid is the real deal. Hopefully he has a car under him to compete. I can't wait.

hopefully next year will be exciting, but it also could be very boring. 1 team could get evrything right, Tire usage, car balance, aero changes & KERS and could run away with the whole season... it could go either way.

Lets hope there is not total domination by any 1 team.

It will surely be the last year as i fear the 2010 homologated chassis measure will be there.

With the results of 2007-08 being so damn close, it is retarded to mess with the regs at this point...

But, with paradign change comes opportunity, and FIF1, STR, Renault, BMW and Williams are ALL banking that they can be competitive next year...

If they bring all of the engines to within 1% on power, we may end up with a 20 horse race next year, and THAT would be absolutely GREAT!

Squeezing 2.5s out of any car at that level is incredibly massive.
Grip is a four letter word.

2 is the new #1.

when you break it down to about 0.15 seconds a race. yes impressive... but consider how much time they find over the course of a weekend. Look at the best time in FP1 this weekend versus the fastest qual lap in Q2. Give these guys enuff time & money and they will find time.

They will definatly find more time over the course of the year next year with all the new changes. These were mostly Minor tweaks this year.
