F1 Cockpit Question

Post

Hi everyone,

I would like to know what happen to the f1 cockpit and the driver if the race is going in rain condition?

Will the rain water be drain out from the cockpit or just stay right on the cockpit floor along the race event?

Regards

the water will drain out for sure
they cannot have the water not drain out
but wat i'm worried is the KERS and water .. they 2gether make a good combination

The driver doesn't get very wet anyway as the way the aerodynamicists configure the cars is to divert flow away from the driver's area (which would cause a lot of drag otherwise) and get as much air into the engine intake above his head. So, not much water would get near him...apart from at the start or pitstops.
