Just had the same discussion here on a dutch forum but i was wondering what you think?

I think the most change of getting that job is Michel Boeri. In 2003 they thought he already would get the position after Balestri quit but Max Mosley got it.
But hey Max served for 4 periods that was a long time and he did enough good things. This was btw the only option which was left to stop a split in the F1.

At least no one with a connection to Ferrari should get the job nor i think anybody from the Fota. If that happens the integrity of the Fia will show some damage.

I think Jean Todt would be very good for motorsport, but with his history with Ferrari, I can't see him getting it. Rumours on some forums have Ron Dennis and Flavio connected, but I hope not. Paul Stoddart ?

With all respect, the integrity of the FIA is already questionable, based on actions and decisions of the last few years. For example, Bourdais being penalized instead of Massa, Alonso being penalized at Monza for "interfering" with a car far behind him, and the fact that WRC is a pale shadow of itself after the FIA ran it into the ground. Or how about handing a vote of confidence to the president who was caught red-handed involved in an S&M orgy with whores? Additionally, Max was originally involved with a team, March.

But I fear the next FIA boss has already been groomed, and will be selected from the close circle of Max's staff.

Wer have a rather lengthy thread already. BTW Nick Craw presided over the WMSC that sorted the mess out.
Formula One's fundamental ethos is about success coming to those with the most ingenious engineering and best .............................. organization, not to those with the biggest budget. (Dave Richards)
