IT has taken Felipe Massa, the injured Ferrari driver, to utter what some believe is the truth that dare not speak its name, as far as Jenson Button is concerned.

Having been out of the paddock for six weeks while convalescing from the head injury incurred during qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix, the amiable Brazilian's view on Button is that the Briton is choking as he tries to close out the drivers' championship.

In terms of one driver in Formula One analysing another, it does not get much more direct than Massa's verdict on the struggling Englishman.

"Jenson has gone down because of the pressure - it's the only reason," Massa was quoted as saying at his home in Sao Paulo.

"At the start of the season, everything was nice and easy. He was in a new team winning six out of the first seven races. That's different to fighting hard for the championship. Now he has a different kind of pressure.

I guess it was only a matter of time before one of the drivers said it.

It's been mooted a number of times already...

It's easy to blame the driver and pressure blah blah blah...

The problem Brawn has is that his 2 drivers do not like the car to work the same way. At the start of the season it was obviously favouring JB's driving style, but developments have come through that favour RB. If JB is to win (as there is there is no doubting he wants to) then he simply must get a better handle on the car by either modifying his driving style or setting the car up better.

He has to beat RedBull each week and not lose to Rubens too heavily and he'll get there...
