Should Valencia and Catalunya GPs alternate?

Post

Will it be a good idea to have Valencia and Catalunya GPs alterante just what the German GP is doing?

I think this is not fair a little for a country to run two F1 races. There should be a new rule for a country to host an F1 race to 1 race at a time per season.

Can't wait for the American GP and I hope the race track would not be too long and boring.

The original "Grand Prix" meant that there was one big race per nation. One nation, one race, period.

The Grand Prix of Canada, or the Grand Prix of Hungary, and so on. Of course, we have seen some perversions in naming, where we have experienced "The Grand Prix of Europe", where one nation hosts two events. Of course you can't call both "The Grand Prix of Germany", or recently, "The Grand Prix of Spain.

It should be ... one race per nation.
Racing should be decided on the track, not the court room.

I agree, Valencia simply to vanish.

Yep, replace them both with Portomao and call it the Iberian GP... for those that care about that kind of stuff

...Spain has shown they dont deserve a GP, but keep the testing at Catalunya.

Dude, that's both a low blow and a cheap shot. It's entirely unfair to disrespect any nation just because of the conduct of just a few individuals. ....

Should Portimao race track replace both Spansih GP's?

Post

Portimao race track is such a nice and new race track and is better than the Cataluna and Valencia race tracks. FIA would call it Portugese Grand Prix.
Check out these links and have a look.

What about Motorland Aragon???

The Portamao track is a decent track, i find it a litte un-interesting somehow. It was designed to attract F1 there but only got a 1T rating by the FIA meaning its only suitable for F1 Testing.

ESP, he obviously doesn't like Spain so it's either reduce the races there to a minimum and/or replace them with another country.

No - Valencia should be removed from calendar.

Yes Catalynua should only be used for testing and yes valencia must be removed from the calendar because it is boring and the race track is too long.
