Tom Walkinshaw, RIP

Post

http://joesaward.wordpress.com/2010/12/ ... alkinshaw/

A few days ago, someone created the thread asking for us to post up our fantasy F1 technical team comprised of known available talent. Whilst reading that thread, I found myself wondering what had happened to Tom Walkinshaw but I never bothered to follow it up.

Now it seems that one of the minds behind the Benetton glory years (and many other motorsport achievements) has passed away before his time. I'll always remember the TWR Volvo 850 Estates racing in the BTCC : those were truely the fastest antique-wagons in the west ...

RIP Tom Walkinshaw

RIP

Brawn got alot of the credit for pitstop strategy at Benetton. I think this guy's contribution was underrated.
