David vs. Goliath(Red Bull vs. Ferrari), myth or truth?

Since a while back, I've wanted to know the truth about Red Bull. They keep on talking about how they are a small team up against the big teams. But is that really the truth? Of course their rivals claim that it's not. Does anyone know? This article reveals that the maybe the Red Bull saga is not so impressive as they want us to think.

They certainly don't seem to lack the facilities, technology or engineers that the bigger teams have, e.g. they have a simulator which is considered a "luxury". What budget are they really running on?

Well.. red bull is bigger than ferrari. Ferrari defintely has the experience advantage.

As mosley said, with money you can get good engineers, drivers, etc..

Redbull has the backing of, Redbull, obviouslly. The money is always there if they need it, I expect they operate on a simelar budget to McLaren.

They are not a new team, they are not a small team, just bullshit that Horner says to make them "interesting"

they've opened up a division called red bull technology, they employ all the clever peoples... ferrari can do the same if they really want to

A technical department at red bull just sounds like a department working on how to get more caffeine into their fizzy water to hook more kids into drinking it.

Never thought I would see myself typing this, but I agree with MrM completely, the "staff limit" on the teams was ridicilous
from the word go, as if you could ever control how many engineers a team has in it's "technology subsidiaries"?

I believe RBR to be the richest team on the grid, as they act as a PR operation only, with no other considerations.

There were to be legal checks and balances with the budget cap.
There are non for the 'old boys network' agreement.

I don't know about that Gyro, but the "headcount" was so unbeliveably stupid it defied engineering common sense.

Cutting cost is obviously a good thing, at least for the minnows, but I doubt if you can never ever police it.
