I don't understand the 1Malaysia sticker...

Indeed, but that is what I do not understand

1Malaysia is the team behind Team Lotus, this has notrhing to do with Proton or LRGP, that is the awkward part.

1 Malaysia has nothing to do with either Lotus team. It's just a reference to the unification of Malaysia. Both teams are Malaysia-owned, so it's just a way to show national pride. Like the little Italian flag with the number "150" on the Torro Rosso front wing pillar and the name of the Ferrari F150 Italia.

That is incorrect. Team Lotus actually is 1Malaysia. 1Malaysia is the name of the Tony Fernandes team, where the formula 1 team 'Team Lotus' falls under.

Again, he called his team "1Malaysia" because of the reason I mentioned. It does not stop another Malaysian team from using that exact same term, as it is a term of national pride, not a trademark. It would be like saying no one can use the Italian flag but Ferrari.

Using a malaysian flahg is quite different from using another racing team logo. What that is isnt showing the Malaysian flag, it is carrying the 1Malaysia logo

It's just a happy coincidence that it's also the name of the company behind the other Lotus team...

...can't wait to hear the ruling on the naming row.
