No, you're right. The new nose (lower photo) is quite different.

Does anybody have any detailed info on parts tested during the 2 day test? Max chilton lapping 3 seconds faster than his qualifying lap is quite a feat for the team i feel and wondered if it was running on supersofts and improved set up or updates to the car?

1) nose cone/front wing upgrade came already in Spain (mentioned multiple times in the posts above)
2) pretty conventional way to assemble front wing and nose cone - I think you couldn't see bolts in the left picture, because they covered the holes by duct tape
3) again, they used the duct tape to cover holes in the bodywork - as these are not there for aerodynamic purpose, their effect on the package may be harmful

Has Ferrari a wastegate or why do they have a 2-in-1 exhaust? And the oval shape seems quite odd to me. Does anybody know the reason behind it?

The oval pipe is for a wastegate, all of this years engines have a wastegate. The Ferrari teams use a comon wastagate, the Mercedes teams also use a common set-up. The Renault teams have different solutions.

to me it looks the other way round, as the oval pipe is for the turbo. Or do they have it installed so low?
