Red Bull RB11 Renault

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

14 interal tests and 4 official tests at FIA according to AMUS. So nowhere near 60.

/edit
Looks like the front suspension layout was not changed.

hard to see from that angle. It would need to change in the plan view to change the wheel base.

The bulkhead doesn't look to sit much higher than the Mercedes in that picture. That was given as a reason a short nose would be hard to implement.

They just use a bigger chunk of vanity plate in that area.

Hehe TJ13 ist probably one of the worst F1 webpages that exist. :D
But on the other hand especially Mr. Schmidt from AMUS should also do his homework better for most of his articles.

Sure this one is from Barcelona? Who would take a picture of the frontwing and not show the new short nose but only the wing?

Nope, it is the same one from Bahrain. Well, the picture atleast shows nothing new, or nothing added or removed.

I wasn't clear, my bad. I meant no on the implying that the picture could hold something new because the picture was solely focussed on the front wing. It's taken in Barcelona and is the same wing we saw in Bahrain.

As I said before the nose cannot get appreciably shorter relative to the front wing. What tricks us is how swept back the pylons are; actually on the rear trailing edge of the central section. Mercedes and lotus' pylons overlap more of the central section. The nose cone can reduce in length if the suspension is swept back more, but it is unlikely.
