Red Bull RB6

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Looks like they've partitioned the diffuser into left and right channels?

Also, the bottom diffuser doesn't seem very integrated with the two big upper channels. I suspect we're only looking at half the diffuser, they'll have an integrated version at next week's test, or at Bahrain.

you may be right, but i'd still be interested to see the wheelbase stats for all the cars... hopefully during the season that will become easily available. and a comparison of this car and the renault factory car would also intrest me.

honestly, looking at it now and looking at pictures of the torro rosso, it isnt all that amazing. they actually do share many elements:

the vent at the rear in the centre of the car,
the noses are very similar, although the RB6 seems to be more elongated.

the diffuser and rear end differs quite a bit tho. but that was to be expected, torro rosso diffuser is really stock stuff.

I posted on a nother discussion around ths car that i was not expecting a massive change. The RB5 was a brilliant package to begin with and Newey has remained true to his philosophy of evolution under rules stability.
He did this at Williams in the mid 90's then at McLaren.

I am expecting an interesting diffusor so lets see what the photographers come up with over the next few days.

Just as it was in the recent past (with the exception of 2009),
I expect them to get really punked this season.

Interesting angle.

Anyone reckon they will be using movable front wings this year? They've had enough time to develop them now. Surely every little bit counts.
