Ferrari F138 Model - Alonso Fan

Hi guys

i've seen your creations on this forum and all of them look really nice
i've started something of my own, making Alonso's Ferrari F138 which he very infamously put in the gravel in Malaysia the other week. I'm making the launch version, so no updates will be added, as it is a card model.

here are the first few pics that i have on my pc. i will have to transfer the rest over from my phone, but i'll keep you guys updated on the build with pics etc

starting building the body








the rear wing endplate with pencil markings where the slots are meant to be cut

this is the undercut that the body of the car makes towards the 'coke bottle' area. the exhaust outlets will be added to the top of this, and are much wider than the bottom of the body work, which allows much much better airflow from the front of the car to reach the diffuser. i couldn't figure out a way to create this shape with card, so i figured out that a ribcage design allowed me to slowly change the shape of the body as i got further back on the car. i will cover it later with card or something like that.

the completed rear wing (i haven't put the DRS activation switch on it yet because it is really small and i will do it once the rear wing has been painted etc)

it's not quite symmetrical, but oh well, its only a model and i'm not perfect

Not sure if it's just me but I can't see hardly any of your pictures, I can see the first post, the one of the ribcage, and the one of the real f138 but that's all.

really? they were fine when i posted them

i'll try to edit them

try refreshing the page again and again, until they all load up. that worked for me

it could also be the web browser you use. i use google chrome, and they're fine in there if you keep reloading until they all load up. some will load up with less attempts and the more stubborn ones will load up with more reloads

i'd keep trying, it's worth it !!
