How about a wingless open wheel series of racing with similar power to weight as motogp?
Also, similar race length without tyre change or refuel - ragged edge missiles.
To me that would be nirvana.

When was the last time you've seen overtaking in a fast corner in F1? (DRS passes don't count obviously)
The one I can think of is almost a year ago.
