This is meant as a thread to drop every interesting thing that can be done with tools. Wider wheels, changing a cam, changing the oil, changing anything, bio fuel, bio fuel conversions, new hybrid developments, electric motors and battery technology - just about anything interesting. Anything

Converting Hummers to Turbo Bio-Diesel and a Turbine/Electric/Super Capacitor Vehicle - I heard about this on National Public Radio,( it's sort of like the USA's Liberal version of the BBC ) today and found more on the net:

I have been studying

(well, to put it in grandiose terms) some examples of turbine cars for some time now. I'm in the process of tracking down further information, part of it not online. Turbines have shown great promise for at least a half a century now and my faith in this concept is undiminished. In the lighter side of things, check out Jay Leno's GM EcoJet project, for example at his "Jay Leno's Garage" website.

I have acquired quite a lot of material of certain projects, but am swamped with more mundane things for now. One or two of these examples have a surprisingly lot to do with some recent plans for F1 even if the concepts seem almost completely unrelated. You may have to wait for some months for me to compile a decent presentation, though, since with these I won't contend with half measures.

I had thought about a separate thread for these, or even some other form of presentation, but I'll have to give some thought as to what context is the best. Some of it is apparently not very much unlike the Hummer conversion project.
