The "Completely Out of Thread" thread

Post

NOTE BY MODS: This thread was started to collect all kind of odd posts. It used to be open, but people (yeah, very funny, guys) started to post in it. So, it's kind of a warning: now you know where your out of thread posts will end.

Thread title: "Why hasn't Laguna Seca been in F1 calendar?"

Hi,
I will be in Abu Dhabi for a few days, and would really like to watch the camel racing. The thing is I dont drive in Abu Dhabi. Anybody knows if there is any Abu Dhabi tour operators for camel racing ? I know a few in Dubai, but it takes me 2 hours travelling from Abu Dhabi to Dubai, and then another 2 hours back, which is not really desirable.

Thanks ESPImperium
Do you do any recording.
I used to record bands and the odd show in surround sound.
I have an idea for a new kind of sound field live play thing.
If you are interested PM me.
Hope you get your collection added to.
Never complete are they.
Specialist tools of quality are getting more difficult to find in the UK.
I wonder if it is the same in other countries?

Just waiting for some money to come my way and im getting a MacBook for recording in ProTools. Add to that a nice pair of small Genelec active speakers as well and ill have the recording rig i want after trying many PC based solutions.

If you require any more guitar related help, feel free to PM me when ever you need.

And quality toos are getting hard to find, yes. But one of my best sets of pliers i have are a cheap 50 pence set from Lidl that my grandpa passes on to me. Sometimes the cheap stuff suprises me in how good they are.

Pretty old concept actually: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vought_V-173
Gawd, not another reference to an American failed idea again, no wonder this aero problem cannot be sorted. Stability was aweful by the way on the flapjack. Concept tested at Farnborough in 1958 I think, along with that silly tilt wing thing that was also dropped by UK as way to dangerous. Strange it is in American service and still killing marines. But then so is that Hummer thing, tum te tum.

I am helping to test a new concept in autogyros tommorow. Rotating 2 bladed wing, teeter bearings, non powered rotor, 200mph with forward traveling blade, 100mph on trailing blade. Guess what, there is nobody at the CAA who has a clue how an autogyro flys. This one can fly at 5 mph and tops out at 130 mph, ceiling 18,000ft and a record endurance of 7 hours and all on 60 hp.
Oh by the way, it is silent with NO heat signature and NO downwash, also fully proven in finding and dealing with UXBs. Trouble is the American aircraft industry pays way bigger bribes.

Aerodynamics? Been there done that, come on Nick Wirth, show your stuff.
Sorry but I did not bring up that silly flapjack thing.
Unless blown the near vertical upper section of an F1 rear wing is always in a state of semi stall on the rear surface. Surely that is obvious?

What is Dim Sum?

Traditional dim sum includes various types of steamed buns such as cha siu baau, dumplings and rice noodle rolls (cheong fun), which contain a range of ingredients, including beef, chicken, pork, prawns and vegetarian options. Many dim sum restaurants also offer plates of steamed green vegetables, roasted meats, congee porridge and other soups. Dessert dim sum is also available and many places offer the customary egg tart. Having a meal in a Chinese teahouse or a dim sum restaurant is known as yum cha, literally "drinking tea", as tea is typically served with dim sum.

Dim sum can be cooked by steaming and frying, among other methods. The serving sizes are usually small and normally served as three or four pieces in one dish. It is customary to order family style, sharing dishes among all members of the dining party. Because of the small portions, people can try a wide variety of food.

The problem with this is that you'll be hungry an hour later!

My tail? Which one?

One of them sticks to PMs (which is better for off toic stuff) and the rest stay in the old stomping ground (thankfully)!

Tricky dicky....you know the one

Im amused to see how he has this monopoly on always being right on everything.
I never stray far from a mercedes thread as its my specialty.
What riles me is that Im banned on the "other" site yet he continues with his tripe unabated.

His posts remind me of the an old teacher I used to have, 90% Telling off and 10% not alot else :!:

Methinks he has working connections or is pitied fom the powers that be.

why would brawn sell the trailers on ebay? wouldn't they just re-paint them in there new colours?

OT: USF1 had some Brawn trailers, but as we know they didn't make it. Hence the sell.

IC car engines have been obsolete since the first electric car.
It is only vested interest that has kept them going.
Not to go back off topic, but electric cars were invented before petrol cars making you once again incorrect
I hope your level of education is better in engineering because it leaves a great deal to be desired when applied to the English Language.

Autogyro, sin animo de insultar, can we all agree to accept slightly incorrect English as long as it is understandable? Many of us are not fortunate enought to have been born and raised in the island.
