Is this place actually for real?

I have been banned for criticising a poster!

It's the unregistered users that bring it down as 90% of them are just there to attack posters. The site used to be good but now it is just a sad reflection of its former self thanks to tabloid style reporting which is at least 3 days behind every other site and a high number of unregistered users.

Personally I think its the 90% that are ok, but the 10% of "resident" users(you know who's andrew) who constantly berate you for supporting a team. And like a dog who has a bone they dont let go and keep on the attack regardless of topic.

But when you reciprocate there tends to be a ban slapped on to your account. No explanation and no ban on posters with rhetoric that would not be out of place in the middle ages.

Its these "residents" that destroy what could be a great site. PS Andrew, send my regards to Alan D, Taz, Commmodore S, Mark_ and Cardinal. respected posters whom know how to conduct a valid debate without resorting to shaming the bloody team you support!

I think it is generally not desirable to discuss other internet fora and their policies. All you achieve is pulling conflicts over that better remain on those sites.

Very true WB,

I was started the thread out of sheer disbelief of whats was been said and how the moderators intervened(with great prejudice). Since joining F1technical, my knowledge of F1 has increased incrementally. For that I'm very grateful :D

I think its time this thread dies....

If threads about drivers splitting from their other halves are acceptable then so is this. The thread has been up since the end of April and it has not been locked.

However, it is maybe better if it was changed to a thread where we could discuss other websites and help point others to good sites and steer them away from bad sites.
