Hi,

The car is a FWD Honda Integra DC2 and standard pressures are 36 PSI front, 34 PSI rear.

I am now running Toyo R888 tyres which are a track day tyre with a stiffer side wall (and no doubt other more 'focused' features.

Should these just be run at standard pressure?

Is there anything I can do in regards to temp over the tyre surface to get them optimum?

i.e after a few laps shoudl it be the same over the entire surface?

Thanks for any help.

Take it to the track, take a couple warmup laps to get a little heat in the tread and air volume and break in the carcass.

Then, set your tires to your control / baseline inflation (let's say 36F/34R). Take 2 or 3 laps, note the times and subjective performance.

Try taking 3 psi out all around (33F/31R) and do another 2 or 3. Note times and performance.

Put 3 psi over your control inflation (39/37). Do another 2 or 3. Note times and performance.

Re-run your control setup (36/34), note times and performance.

Take a look at your results, and go from there.

Thanks!

In terms of temps should I be looking for anything specific?

If inflation pressure is your adjustment here, then no. Tune to laptime.
