Gulf 12 Hours

Post

Followed the Gulf 12 hours race on live timing. Nice to see a GT race in december. The AF Corse Ferrari 456 GT claiming the win for a second year in a row. A good result for the Porsche 997 finishing third despite receiving a penalty. Disappointing race for the McLaren MP4-12 as both cars experienced technical difficulties and finished at the bottom of the order. The McLaren did set the fastest lap of the race. Saw some highlights and it was shocking to see empty grandstands at the Yas Marina circuit.

I agree. Lets not forget the British sportscar did win the 24 hours of Barcelona a few months ago with the German/Dutch Lapidus Racing team. In that race , they suffered a problem that costed them 19 laps. The Chopard sponsored car was able to regain the lead and score it's maiden win.
