I am designing suspension for formula student car and after initial research on suspension my tutor have asked me to calculate a rough load path for the suspension system. I have read a lot about suspension system on this forum and other publication but still confused on where to start.
I have found some values to work with but no sure how to use them
Car weight 300kg
Wheel base and track width roughly 1600mm (measuring of the current car)
Max loading in acceleration 1.2g
Max loading in braking 1.5g
Max loading in lateral acceleration 1.6g
Bump force under 2g
I am only designing (optimising) the suspension system so I have very little control on the other part of the car.
It would be really helpful to tell me how to start my load path calculation or to tell me where I can get some good information on how find it.
