About the only thing I would like to see changed is the related postings list at the bottom of a thread sheet. IMO they would be much more relevant if they were sorted most current at the top.

I guess there is one more thing .. it would be nice if the car posts were stickied into a separate forum and made official so we wouldn't get multiple threads about car design. No big deal really but sometimes I read something and a week later have trouble finding it.

Maybe a similar theme for the races as well.

All in all, a great site! Thanks very much for the efforts.

Basically a section on chassis usage engine milages, gear box usage and other "usless" stats and data that i have.

I have some time to spare to keep that section of the site up to date.

Yes! A pure stats section where opinion is banned. The recent great historic overtaking analysis was blighted by conversation about the evils of FIA, FOTA etc.

Conversation about slicing and dicing data would be allowed, but not opinion.

You could have a thread based on ESP's engine data. I'd drop in the analysis of DNF over the years. Add the overtaking thread. Possibly threads about engines power, or tyre usage, etc.

Another good one would be graphs tracking the performance over the season, for example has team X really improved in performance, or is that the other teams have dropped away based on lap times or speed traps ... etc

Im liking this idea more than having a stats blog. Im currently getting the 2006 data for engines done, and most probably ill be finished this Sunday sometime for 2006. Thats as far as im going back, if someone wants to do 2005 and before, ill be able to give them the model and guidance for the first one.

Im gonna post the 2006 and 2007 data in a thread anyways, some of whitch is intresting, especially the graphs i think.

But one thing im gonna ask for, is the 3 or 4 quick links at th top of the hot topics section on the front page, ditch the other series and get the General Chat section on there.

I use the remember password facility with Firefox, so I'm always log in automatically on any site I ever go to.

Actually AFAIK browsers only remember your password and do not automatically log you in. Instead they fill in the password field automatically, but they shouldn't influence session length.

Whenever a member posts his/her post, the 'number of posts' gets updated EVERYWHERE - even on his/her first post. is there any way to code that a particular post gets its own post number and the previous one is unaffected by that number??

e.g.

ABC is my 1st post and LMN is my 100th post - then ABC also shows 100 posts, should show 1st and NOT 100th post!

:)

somehow the layout is a bit messy for my style. I like the drop-down menus on top, but the organization doesn't seem logical. Here's one option:

Home (Not really needed, but anyway...)

News
- General
- Technical
- Archive (1 month old or something goes directly here)

Technology
- Latest developments
- Aero (maybe a filter of the previous)
- Series comparison (F1 - any other)

Teams/cars
- Current
- Past

Statistics
- Current standings
- Team/Driver
- Event calendar
- Past standings
- Engine usage

Regulations
- Current regulations
- Safety
- Glossary

Gallery
- Latest pics
- Wallpapers
- Past pics
- Pitbabes

I don't know how good programmers everyone is, but it would be nice seeing some fancy ajax windows around, iGoogle style. Maybe adding two things:
- Interactive circuit (bbc link?)
- News feed from other sites
