Huh??? KERS?? Who said anything about KERS? I am not sure what you are talking about.. but there was no KERS in 2006.. not sure if you wanted to address me or someone else.Coffee wrote:I specifically registered to reply to this "logic".PlatinumZealot wrote:Yep. That is a pretty good example. Alonso had the better exit, made up ground then lost out down the road to the BMW.SectorOne wrote:Found a slightly better video, Monza, BMW vs Renault.

Take some time and try to understand the following: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Differential_equation (as a bonus you'll also understand why KERS or any time limited power boost is used at lower speeds rather than at high speeds)
My point was that Sector one's video is good example showing that the 2006 BMW engine was more powerful than the 2006 Renault engine. Not sure what optimal KERS usage has to do with that.
The last time I had a discussion on KERS was 2010 or something! Ages ago in internet time. There were many threads on optimal KERS usage in fact. I see no need to really go over that topic again - I won't learn anything more than what I learned those years ago. I can just search those old threads.
