From many tyres' test rig data that I've seen, this is correct but up to a point, ie, There is an specific pressure which will demand the most slip angle in order to reach it's peak lateral force. Lower or higher values than the said pressure will need less slip angle to reach it's peak friction.
For sure, I was just trying to simplify it for the sake of discussion. This is the type of problem that has a dozen inputs to get an answer, and its made worse by the fact that half the inputs are related/effected by others.

It is a bit strange that no one is questioning the rumours of teams reporting fake data. Why would pirelli leave pressure monitoring in the hands of the teams without checking that the reported pressures are true? I think you have to stupid to believe that.

In this quote I don't think he means tire pressure data, I think he means estimated loadings the teams came up with via simulations.
"Pirelli technician Mario Isola defended himself: "We determine the pressures on the output data, which we get from the teams three weeks before the race . In Barcelona the cars were heavily modified and thus the contact pressure increased. We reacted to this. If we see from our own measurements after a training day that the values do not match the reality, we change the limits for the air pressure. "

Swimming pool chicane changed again.

One season they make it faster... the next they make it slower...
Isn't it just the outer kerbs? I think they will remain with the 2015/2016 layout which was more opened up and allowed for more speed(faster lap times). I'm sure they want the layout in a configuration, together with the new asphalt, that allows for a lot faster lap times so that they(FOM and the media) can hype the 2017 cars/season

As soon as I saw the picture of that kerb the whining of 1000 drivers in press conferences suddenly started ringing inside my head.

Formula E drivers managed it....F1 prima donas just need to get over themselves...!!
Favourite driver: Lando Norris
Favourite team: McLaren

Turned down the chance to meet Vettel at Silverstone in 2007. He was a test driver at the time and I didn't think it was worth queuing!! 🤦🏻‍♂️

Usual FP1 - Q3 improvement in monaco is low compared to some other tracks though. Only around 2-2.5s.

As soon as I read that story I saw some casual comments from drivers that I figured would probably be interpreted by some people as whining who then themselves will be whining about the driver's supposed whining.

Vettel two tenths behind, not bad taking into account that Ferrari seems to improve during the weekend , so we could see a nice battle for the pole.

How are the supersofts compared with the ultrasofts? Strange to see the Toro Rossos up there, especially not having run the ultras.

And Ferrari has only used Ultrasofts, quite strange.

Toro Rosso should be strong here but I don´t what to expect because they have admitted that this 2017 chasis is not as strong as the previous one, sadly.
