What a difference in garage layouts between Ferrari and McLaren. The two Ferrari's are divided by a column, tool boxes, and, fuel tanks, etc, while the McLaren's aren't divided at all. Or is it because the Ferrari garage is bigger? It kind of looks like it, but why would it? To make up for the space taken up by the colums and they are taking advantage of the extra space?

Was alonso on soft tyres, or maybe he was testng the ebd ignition map and Massa was not using it?
I missed out fp2
4/10! They both used options. Massa got into the dirt, contaminating one set. I'm thinking they will be closer in qualy! Fred was very good in s1 again
Only Petrov :? matched his s1 time, which leads me to believe RBR, Ferrari, and McLaren have a little time in hand!
Ringo the emboldened part of this quote is not factually correct, as I have just checked the Autosport live commentary summary.
Massa went off on softs after him and Fred did their low fuel/option runs, and were doing heavy fuel/ option early race simulations. As to the 4/10 disparity, I think that was just one lap that Fred really hooked up, because they were running very similar times on low fuel, with options. There was a lot of traffic, and Massa may have gotten the worst of it.

They are changing on options now

Red Bull in a class of their own. Vettel did not find a gap in the traffic. Traffic was a killer on the short track.

I suspect Ferrari will close the gap a little when the track is warmer :-k

As the Red Bulls are so much quicker than anyone else, will they do Q3 on the harder tyre with a view to being able to run away at the beginning and being so far ahead that their obligatory tyre change will be effectively free.

Or will the loss of grip off the line on the harder tyre vs the softer tyre be the decider - after all, pole position is nothing if you're slow in to the first corner.

The clever thing is doing a quick lap now. Webber is out, Vettel as well.

1:23,360 and 1:23,698 is probably enough.

Button, Barichello, Sutil, Schumacher, Buemi, Liuzzi and Alguersuari are out.

Petrov on P4 beats Kubica on P7
Rosberg on P5 beats Schumacher on P14 (massive 0.8s)
De la Rosa and Hülkenberg on P9 and P10 beat their respective team mates.
