Damn sad to see Alonso being all hyped up in the beginning. He had the speed there to challenge both Hamilton and Vettel but when Hamilton got fresh air he just took off ;)

Button, nr2 driver? Hell no. This guy deserves more credit then we give him i think.
He´s not the fastest driver but when other people makes the slightest mistake he is there to pick up the pieces.

No idea how Alonso got past Webber the last time. I thought he was seconds behind and then when i check the board he was around 7 seconds ahead of WEbbo.
Which other people? Mclaren?

lol'ed at that one.

Despite the disappointment of the end result, I think Hamilton out drove anyone he had to fight against. First he outdrove Vettel, and then Button (and at that point Button's tyres were better than his, remember) and at the and Webber. He was only undone when he had to push to make a pitstop worth of gap on a bizzare and worn out super soft set of tyres.

For all the crapping on McLaren that's been going on, that outfit has been more successful and will continue to be than all of the people with bad things to say about them. McLaren is better than all of you and I'd give anything to be apart of that team. Lay off them, they're doing a much better job than any of us could ever hope to.

I didn't get to see the race because I have no cable and I'll have to download it. Looks like it was a great one.

I'm sorry, but the decision(whoever took it, the team or Lewis, or both) to put Lewis on used super softs with 30 laps to go when everyone else was switching to softs was a terrible mistake, and most probably have cost them a shot at the title.

As a fan I'm gutted because Hamilton did the best driving today only to come undone with bad tyre choices.

I can't help but feel Lewis is jinxed this season. In Monaco the quali stoppage cost him a shot at victory, in Canada Button not seeing him (again costing a probable race win) and today the tyre choices. He has had nothing but rotten luck.

I understand that, mistakes are something no one wants to make. But this is McLaren. None of us are there with them under the pressure they are under and there is universal discontent with them. I hate to see someone lose a race because of a bad call but everyone needs to chill out. Hell, there are people calling for the firing of Whitmarsh and for Lewis to go to another team! I wonder if any of those people knew what it was like to work for McLaren, much less drive for them. I'd bet everyone with the exception of Alonso would kill to be a part of that team. I just think it's a little harsh for armchair racers to be so hard on a team they'd never get a chance to work for, driver bias or not. They are doing a fantastic job this season, lets all be happy that there is actually some competition now eh? I like Vettel but I'd much rather see someone else have a chance at the win, my favorite driver or not.

Fair point but do you think he would have take LH if he had not spun out?

button has again shown great morale after two races not being able to score he won under difficult circumstances and if I´m not mistaken one of the few very quick but without major mistakes (keeping the car on what you would call the race track..i lostz count how many incidents alonso had ...he just beat himself today,as Lewis did..sometimes you need someone to calm you down ..these two would be wise to take lessons from a driving coach ....or maybe try yoga... :-)..)

I don't think he would, but it may have happened near the end of the race.
Team made the wrong choice of putting Lewis on the options.

Time and time again, track position is king when you are leading, but Mclaren don't seem to have picked that up. It was a wasted chance for Mclaren.
Now Vettel's gap is much bigger.
And Redbulls constructors is still looking very nice.

Easy drama free win for Button again, but i can't help but feel it was for naught team wise, as they aren't making up any ground on redbull.
Vettel is quite happy having fresh new winners in front of him now and again.

Next time it's webbers chance to win to spread out the points again and stretch Vettel's lead. :(
For Sure!!

Actually Webber winning will cut Vettel's lead no matter what.

Great win for JB. Mistake for LH on the tyres but hey, that's racing.

I'm a bit sick of everyone taking all this too seriously. It's racing and full of incidents. I'd like to see everyone here perform faultlessly under the sort of pressure these teams do week in week out without any mistakes.

On that note, I'd like to also congratulate LH on his conduct after the race, celebrating once again with the whole team despite mistakes made. Good show and isn't it refreshing to see team mates with a genuinely good relationship after all that has happened over the last year and a half. =D> I can't see McLaren wanting to change their driver line up for some time. They have all bases covered in most situations.

Really wanted Ferrari to put in a better race but it was sort of ruined for them by the Merc's.

RB will struggle now with Newey concentrating on the 2012 car but they have such a lead it's the right strategy. Vettel once again proved he's mega quick in the best car but seems to fall away when pressed by a gutsy racer like LH or Alonso.

Can't wait for Spa. The rest of this season is going to be facinating. :D

Did Button put back his steering wheel in its place? he put it in the cockpit and left to celebrate with his team..

Great race.

Unlucky for Lewis, I'm sure he will bounce back.

The Renault incident was scary. This forward exhaust must be banned with immediate effect, for a moment today I thought I was watching a man burn alive.

It has little to do with the exhuast.

It's a genuine overheating problem.

The exhuast direction just determines where the fire blows out of.

The problem seems to be round the gearbox area. May even be KERS related and cooling exit related as i said.

Renualt seem to be on the borderline with the cooling exits at the rear of the car.

A solution is to simply blow the radiators if the car is in the pits too long.
