Thats quite a lot if you ask me. It often takes less to change a gearbox of a regular car.
I'm a mechanic and I would like to know how you change a gearbox in 2 hours on a regular car. You're way off...it's never done
Well, i'm a mechanic too. I guess you're just a slow one

The testing issues and the messing around with points gave me an idea. Could there be 'points' awarded for the places 10, 11, 12 with 10 = 1, 11 = 2, 12 = 3 etc. These would then correspond to testing laps available to that team. Obviously the teams coming near the back (Marussia, Caterham) would probably have more than they needed and would be able to sell them to the teams higher up. More testing for everyone and the poorer teams have something they can raise some money from.

This has obviously not been thought through properly as it only occurred to me about 5 minutes ago so be gentle.
I think that´s a really good idea, so forget it, FIA will never consider it

Autosport claims Rosberg made a run of 42 laps. He currently is in a race simulation.

Seems Mercedes is doing one right now, they already clocked more than 40 laps today and just did a 23 lap stint according to the ticker of AMUS.

Dear FIA, if you read this, please pm me for a redesign of the Technical Regulations to avoid finger nose shapes for 2016! :-)

Why does Nico appear to be swapping between helmets?

He often also jumps into the pits for quick check up (few seconds standing still) and then leaves again.

bit of a long time ago but on my first car, a vauxhall viva HC, i got gearbox changes down to 32 mins at the end,
mind you i had am lot of practice, the gearshift extension tube on those was a press fit with a grub screw to help secure it, add in an enthusiastic teenager, low power and a stubbie lever with a really slick gearchange and i used to pull the shifts loose regularly, ended up with 2 boxes so i could swap them and repair gearchange without car being off road :D

different story today though, look at the time to change the clutch on the bloody mondeo when it came out :(

Rosberg already on 61th lap, =D>

but Lewis was truly the dupe of this test: first FW and then gearbox
Mercedes AMG + Hamilton => dreamteam!

The caterham sounds very flat, indeed. Best of them at the moment seems to be the Williams; nice workman-like note.
