The RBR seems to be superior in the cold weather.

Clear out all the polystyrene on the track after Grosjean slammed into one of the track side markers.

Fisichella killed the engine in the exit of the pit lane when he practised a start. The Brazilian marshals stood and watched like stone monkeys. Eventually one marshal decided to push the car off the track and the four others kept watching. Compared to the Japanese they did a lousy job.

Alonso with a 1:12.314 interestingly enough he also led last season's FP2 with a 1:12.296.

Lap Times seem to be roughly the same as practice last year. Although probably because it's one of the lower downforce tracks so that's why '09 spec is up there with '08 spec.

And It would be a safe bet to presume that the 1:10.646 Rubens did in 2004 Qualy was probably the fastest ever lap on that track. Always good to mention the '04 season in terms of raw pace. It was the pinnacle of F1 racing cars even if the season was boringly dominated by Ferrari.

Last season the fastest lap (out of the whole weekend) was a 1:11.768 by Heikki during Q2.

He always does well during Q but can never quite pull of a real race...

And there's your random Interlagos facts from me.

Kobayashi did pretty decent getting 13th fastest lap, considering it was his first time ever driving at Interlagos.

Ferrari looks like they will really struggle. McLaren looks good but not great, both Brawn and Red Bull look good with RBR having the performance edge. Renault was up to their old headline-grabbing low fuel stunts again. Toyota looks good as well, but may or may not have problems with the colder weather.

As always, rain at Interlagos can really mix up the order.

Not to mention Grosjean finding new and inventive ways to bring out the red flag huh. Non car destructive ways

Did anyone get to see broadcast practice on Speed? In the closing of the show, during the credits there was a shot of one of the Force India cars getting massively 4 wheel drifting and then sideways over a curb, and then he reeled it back in. I was so floored by this footage that I had to watch it many times. I think it's most amazing F1 save of the year, or at least a great candidate for it.

Did anyone else see it?

Interlagos is a great circuit, so much character. Especially seeing those houses backing onto the circuit, the sweeping cameras shots through the Senna S. The changing terrain.

Brilliant to be back!

Sutil also did a wonder drift earlier in the session - I think Liuzzi didn't catch his as wel.

Thanks, would be easier to understand if it was sorted by time.
