Robert Kubica has today informed Lotus Renault GP that he will not be ready for the start of the 2012 season, despite having started an intensive training programme. The Pole is still recovering from his really crash earlier this year and thereby gives the green light to LRGP to select its drivers for the 2012 campaign.

WOW I am so sorry to here this. I was really hoping to see Kubica scrapping at the front. Hopefully this will not stop the momentum of Lotus Renault. I so want them to do well this season.
I rate Kubica as the best driver out there, such a shame, no one deserves this. Just hope he has a speedy recovery and will be back in the R31 grabbing podiums ASAP.
according to corrieredellosport.it the guardrail pierced the car. They had to cut KUB out of the car which took some time because heavy equipment was needed.
My best wishes to KUB!
Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.
Such a damn shame. The Renault looks like the Red Bulls did last year .. pushing the pace in testing with some really innovative stuff .. I wonder now who will slot into the driver lineup? Lots of drivers fighting for that spot about now, I suppose. He will be out for the season I imagine because once he's missed 5 or 6 races why bring him back, unless his replacement isn't living up to the seat.
Just a damn shame .. he could've been a contenda, as they say.
This is weird. When I heard that Bruno Senna had secured a seat with LRGP I had a lucid dream that he (Bruno) won the Australian GP.
Glad to hear that Kubica is going to be A-OK but the last time I had s dream so vivid the outcome was really tragic.

[...] Hope he gets well fast though. Things were looking so good for Kubica this year. Maybe it's time for Bruno to shine?
