This discussion has been 'off topic' from the fourth post on the opening page so my question is quite relevant in the context that hardly any posts in this thread are part of a technical discussion about RBR vs Mclaren next year and a sizable proportion of the posts in this thread are little better- if that- than the subjects in the fanboy ying yang thread.
I can see Renault having an advantage at the beginning of the season (integration - they will know the PU better than the other two), but it won't cover their deficit to RB, but may be enough to beat McLaren, at least until McLaren has learned to tune the PU to their chassis & systems.

The chassis is already very strong in qualifing, competing with the powerfull Force India’s for a spot in Q3. They need to fix the tyre degradation to hold the position on Sunday. Also they will gain from any magic engine mode Renault will develop next year.
