Anybody spot this in the post qualifying press conference

But according to the declared fuel levels Sebastian Vetel has 5.5kg more fuel than Jenson on board (651.5kg and 646.0kg respectively). Have I got my facts wrong here or is there a difference in fuel consumption between the Renault and Mercedes engines to factor in?

I'm guessing it may have been a joke from Seb and Button cottoned on.

They're probably two of the best-humored in the pack, that made me laugh.

Rain overnight, cloudy morning, partly cloudy for the race, generally arround 20 celcius.

May make it interesting playing the tyres option/prime/prime mpre lucritive for some teams.

Didn't that kill Trulli and Glock in Bahrain?

Anyways, it looks as if this season may end up with 6 different teams winning.

What is the record for different constructors in a single season?

Nice to see Massa competitive -- AND the heaviest of the first 6 qualifiers.

The "one-class" season starts tomorrow. Even though Button will be VERY hard to catch with the lead he has built up, at least we can look forward to some good racing at the front, not just mid-field.

Another outstanding Newey design. I think he is in a class by himself.

Look for another race management change at Ferrari VERY soon.

AMEN!!! Looks VERY promising indeed, but if it rains and/or Ferrari mess up again - or Massa for that matter - I promise I'm going to hunt them down like rabid dogs and spank them up good.

One can't help but think it's probably not JUST the Newey design, but this guy Vettel as well.. simply amazing! I'd trade a well known Finn to have him in my team..

I'd also really really like to interview Rubens if Button finishes this race in a better position again: "So, tell us Rubinho, what is the matter? Team Orders again???"

Look out for some really mad tifosi smashing up Ferrari's new motorhome VERY soon if they fail to capitalize on this qualifier as well!!

I believe mclaren is going for a 1 stopper, they have actually nothing to lose.

The chance that brawn and rbr will go for a risky 3 stopper is really small, then massa will go as the lucky third(fourth here actually). The only reason for them to do a 3 stopper is tyre problems or to clock really fast laptimes and to gain alot.

Especially if it rains or is changeable - reduces fuel consumption and some of the fuel weight penalty and they're going to have the largest window in which to make their tyre stops. Still think they're going to be lucky to end up in the points, but with the way Hamilton has been crafting his races so far this season it's a possibility.

It was i think. But tempratures being hiigher means that the options are the optimal temprature, lower ones mean that the primes are the optimum tyre Antony Davidson was saying today during FP3.

Whats the odds on a first corner pile up??? If not at the front, im gonna say with Kimi, Hamilton and Hekki charging thru with KERS, i sence a mid pack pile up, bring a saftey car out i think.

Robert Kubica was disappointed that a team slip-up deprived him of the chance to achieve higher than tenth place on the grid for the Spanish Grand Prix. The Pole, who made it to the top ten shootout, starts on row five although an error by the team when fitting tyres to the car resulted in a premature return to the pit lane.

Sometimes I mix Right and Left but never in Q3 :]

No one can touch the RB5 in the wet and it would eliminate Massa's KERS advantage.

Button's style of driving impresses me, he is like Hakkinen in his best years, he puts the car in the curve and ( almost ) never correct the wheel.

Is that great driving or is that a great car/setup? or both?

“We were looking at how quick Rubens was, so obviously we looked at his set-up, took some parts from it which I think helped us quite a bit,” Button admitted. “In a way I’m very happy that Rubens was quick all through the weekend, it helped me in a way. Qualifying was a bit of a strange one because in Q2 I couldn’t get anywhere near Rubens’ times. My laps weren’t bad. I had a bit of rear movement which is never my favourite but when we put the fuel on board, the car felt as it had done this morning, so I was much happier with the balance.

I just saw the qualify results and it is Button and Vettel again. I think it is clear that these 2 will by fighting all year round. Lets hope thats the case.

Massa is in Fifth and is the heaviest of the bunch. if he is running KERS, I bet he will be blocking mode soon after he overtakes on the few corners.

So Vettel watch out! You're not as light and you can't afford anyone blocking you.

Mr. Hamilton seemed less than pleased with the speed of his car. These are character building races for him, but so it is for Alonso. We can expect those two and Kubica to spice up the action behind the front runners.

I wish Vettel better luck than in Bahrain with the start. He lost the race in the first two corners. It could happen again here.

Seb is an amazing character. Ultra quick, very hard working and down to earth. Very nice for him to have the Newey car.

Back in 2001, Alonso started out in a Minardi, why I don't think he has much to prove in terms of character-building.
