I'd be so gutted every time I dinged it, I couldnt deal with that much damage.
Are you going to build yourself your own little F1 garage with all the various components ready to bolt on?
Thats just brought me to another idea...upgrade packages

I plan to make so upgrades yeah.

I'm gonna redo the rearend, and strengthen it up - metal wishbones. The car is a little out of proportion, it needs to be a little narrower, and about 30mm longer. If I do this I'll be able to fit in a mini servo for DRS! I've done a few sketches. The sidepod pylons are just too weak so a redesign on them, some like the Sauber or Mclaren that loop over the front leading edge of the sidepod. Also add the 'eyelashes' to the sidepods. Any other suggestions....

Suprisingly the car handling is a lot better than previous cars I have made. Its lighter and the mass is further forward.

Thanks again for reminding us of this great project.

To be a genuine replica you'd need to have the mandated weight distribution of 42/58 per cent front/rear ;)

Hi Aussie,

I'm just modeling it in CAD to see how small I can make the sidepods, moving the internal components around. The next car will have 2013 dimensions, the previous car I kinda stuck to the tamiya scale. The car was 10mm too wide and about 25mm too short. I'm toying with the idea of making it 4wd! The problem is fitting the steering and diff in the front.

I do have two spare front wing luckily :)

Excuse my ignorance, but what CAD software are you using? Also for the livery you created on the car?

Hi All,

Thanks for watching, I've finished this project now. The car is now repaired and staying safely in a box. Where it can't be damaged or destroyed. It really needs to be 4wd and more robust to have any fun with it! Next one maybe

My latest project can be found here http://www.f1technical.net/forum/viewto ... 14&t=17405

Enjoy Andy
