Austin GP off topic rants

Post

Probably his most impressive credential is his engineering degree from the "ramblin' wreck" which is south of the Mason/Dixon line ;)

Reason: split from official Austin GP thread. should have deleted but was too kind..

I also think that Hairy will back me up on this one; anybody with a ticket and a pulse that can't get laid in Austin my as well give up all hope, or call an escort service.

Oboy Al, it's kinda dangerous to xcite old farts that way, in particular when we don't always grasp the concept of "y'all"?

Made that mistake once or twice.

I trust you two are having fun?

x, "y'all" is like the jersey "youse", only without the accent.

"Y'all" is nothing like "youse," because "y'all" actually makes sense; "you all." "Youse?" "You is?" "You was?" "You has?"

I never stopped snickering at that when I lived in Jersey.

Incidentally, I can now say with great alacrity that the USGP will not only happen, it will be a phenomenal success. I know this because the gods have deigned to facilitate the fact that I will no longer live in Texas in November, and that's just how my luck works.

Indeed, Mr. Alcatraz, Makes me wish for my single days!

BTW, here's a little video we found. Setting up for Formula Expo:

Also, I hear COTA is "considering" adding sections to T9 & 12 due to "overwhelming demand".

Couldn't see that coming. SHOCKING, I tell you.

It's got an 's' on the end because it's plural.

I've considered that, but it always makes me think I should be on the lookout for sheep or a grove of trees.

Sure. Y'all is simply a contraction.

You mentioned before that you spent time in Pennsylvania. I've known several people from Western PA. and they have an expression I have never heard from any other region in the "Home of the gullible"..... "You-ins" what the hell is up with that?
You-ins going? What are you-ins doing tonight?

Nevermind, most of them will be busy with tailgate BBQs and beer-guzzling anyway...ooops!
