Lies. Not everything Jeremy Clarkson says is true. The VQ is in no way a Renault engine.

It may not be a Renault engine, but is it not true that you will find the same engine in some Renault models?

Regardless, Renault / Nissan are deeply linked regarding engine development, just look at the dci diesels.

Yes, some Renault cars use this Nissan engine, but it doesn't make it a Renault engine, and vice-versa.
