I thought so too. I was like Hamilton is really showing this car's potential by looking at their consistent times this morning. Stable, fast, minimal dropoff. Could it really be the exhaust type? They could be confused even more. It it's because of this non-coanda exhaust at least it shows they improved other areas of the car. Costa's way...

Lets see how they progress as the day goes on

According to AMuS the exhaust comparison is not to compare the exhausts against each other but to use the different heating of the rear tire by the exhausts to learn more about tire deg.

the Semi Coanda is the way to go for this season.

They are already running with the 2013 Ver and the times look promising:

Outlap - 1:23.707 - 1:23.274 - 1:25.669 - 1:25.918 - 1:26.249 - 1:26.294 - 1:26.455 - 1:27.836 - 1:27.189 - 1:26.970 - 1:27.760 - Inlap

The exhaust area looked like it could be quickly interchanged, would be nice if the last run was with the 2013 spec.

Isn't this long for a GB change?

The team say they've been changing the gearbox.
side effect of having telemetry issues...ate up lots of time to find the cause of issue in the car!

Vettel does a 1:22.259 on mediums, Hamilton comes out and does a 1:22.882 on hards. As fast if not faster than the fastest time on hard tyres yesterday.

How is this even possible? Can't they replace ECU if it's broken?
i doubt issue lies with ECU. They could've sorted it then after jerez, instead the issues remain until barcelona.
