Toro Rosso light uprights, 2010. You also have to watch this video: also, eerie. This is what I call a peculiar suspension. This is also why I don't believe answers to journalist questions by drivers: "- ¿Do you think it will happen again? - No"

Trick question: why do the wheels accelerate? Hands-up to the guy that can answer that (clue: how do wheels make a car accelerate?).

I don't recall any height sensors being banned? I think its a slip sensor anyway, but could be doing both slip and height measurements. Theres nothing in the rules against it if I remember correct.

Hi, Tim. You're right. The suspension was not banned, just dropped. The sensor wasn't, of course.

That’s not quite accurate. It’s a fluid inerter, not a tuned mass damper

Ferrari 312 T6, 1977. Perhaps the suspension is not that peculiar, but it certainly looks peculiar

Mercedes Benz T80. Yes, this isn't even a racing car, "just" a speed-record-attempt car. The peculiarity of this spartan suspension is dwarfed by the bizarreness of the gearbox. Man, this is a huge engine.

... aaaaand, finally (I'm doing other things, you can rest now) Williams FW08D, 1981/1982. This car forced FIA to ban six wheelers (unless Tim Wright corrects me)

Tim doesn't know sh!t about anything.

I believe that Mercedes Benz T80 had a mechanical traction control too.
