This is the update that decides Alonso's future....If they have a stable, reliable PU with the Spanish update that keeps them near front of midfield then the Canada version needs to overtake Red Bull for the team to show it will be in a place to compete next year at the front.

The upgrade this week is aiming to increase power and torque in low rpm range.This power output suddenly turn down when the rpm is about 9000,so the torque is unstable when we shift up.I think this is the reason why there are some vibrations when we shift up this season.So i think we are much better with the upgrade

If the oscillations have been cured by changes that didn't require changing or strengthening the block (as evidenced by no new engine nor things disclosed as reliability upgrades), what does that leave as possibilities for how they solved the problem?

* chassis / gearbox strengthening
* balancing / dampers
* software / mapping
* the disclosed "intake upgrades"

Can we get any insight into the problems by how they seem to have solved this one?

Now Alo is almost at Ferrari/Merc pace- how come? Could it be that he's ignoring fuel saving?

At some laps, the laptime is good, Fernando can achieve 1.23.894 on the last lap.
Looks like they battery didn't charged well, he got 1.24 - 1.25s once every 1-3 laps.
When it comes to 💻 science 💫, what I much about it 💢 is analyzing the 📉 📊 👌.

He was probably using qualy mode on his fresh tyres.

Was behind boh Saubers when he pitted the last time to try for fastest lap.

And Sauber have something McLaren don't - points.

Really wanted to see Alonso's race pace under normal conditions, unfortunately he got stuck behind slower cars after the messy start and couldn't overtake. But the lap times were consistent and he was lapping really fast during the end of the race, maybe Honda finally fixed some fuel consumption issues (?)

Both Mclaren drivers were saving fuel since lap 20

got the sort out this Fuel consumption issue, killed them in the race today! having to save much more than every other team.

Engine is running in optimum range ( lower )
