and 925hp!! It'll be a while untill the V8's start producing that.
Although you can't really argue with 20,000rpm

I was not against the switch to the 2.4L V8s, but it's too soon to say whether I prefer them more than the 3.0L V10s. I'll have to wait till I see/hear them in person to pass judgement.

What about adding other engines known in F1?

I'd say V10 but If I could really choose I'd vote for turbos and V12.

Well, I have two different choices here:

For sound: A 3.5l V12 That was brilliant!
For performance: the V10, and especially at the time of Jacques winning his championship in 1997. Those engines had a sore sound, not howling but they sounded powerful somehow ;)

V12's were brilliant in sound
V10's may somehow has a sore sound but powerful(not powerful as the turbos(producing 1000bhp is the most powerful engine ever) :P which engine can generate as much BHP as the turbos? :P

I can remember reading a comparison between the Ferrari V12 and the Cosworth V8, both configurations had advantages and disadvantages.

A V12 produces good horsepower, but is not so tractable at lower revs; a V8's selling points are the other way around, producing less horsepower but more torque. The V12 is slightly longer, the V8 slightly bulkier, so you can see why the V10 was opted for as it was a compromise between mass and friction.

With 1000bhp or more you'll go smashing into the tyre barriers of turn 15 in Sepang, because you'll brake from 300km/h or more with 1000bhp or more I'm sure you'll go smashing into the barriers.
