MF1 team for sale

Post

I wonder if Jean Alesi will buy the team?
Simon: Nils? You can close in now. Nils?
John McClane: [on the guard's phone] Attention! Attention! Nils is dead! I repeat, Nils is dead, ----head. So's his pal, and those four guys from the East German All-Stars, your boys at the bank? They're gonna be a little late.
Simon: [on the phone] John... in the back of the truck you're driving, there's $13 billon dollars worth in gold bullion. I wonder would a deal be out of the question?
John McClane: [on the phone] Yeah, I got a deal for you. Come out from that rock you're hiding under, and I'll drive this truck up your ass.

If you look at the second practice times, Midland has improved as a team as a whole.

10. SUTIL Midland 1m34.179s

11. ROSBERG Williams 1m34.215s

12. ALBERS Midland 1m34.472s

you sure?

The williams was the fast car out there today. i am sure they will be back there with the super aguri's in the race.

i dont think stodard will be up for it, Eddie could buy back his old team but i dont think that would happen, That guy form f2 could maybe do it, Maybe eddie evrine, or maybe Jean alasi. should be interesting.

If big teams start having B teams that will lead us to having 6 teams in F1 which would be stupid. FIA should rather re-introduce pre-qualifying and let top 26 or 28 cars to race if they are to allow B teams.

I think a good cost cutting option which would allow many teams to paddle in F1 would be the old 1 car privateers. You could have the big boys with 2 cars and the cheaper guys running one car. We would still have the same number of cars but small teams will only spend two thirds of their current outgoings, probably much less.

It would also make for a great aptmosphere in the padock as the small fry help each other out with the occasional spare parts in an effort to overcome the main runners.

you're absolute right tom. It's obvious that f1 creates a lot of interests (for 2008 there were 22 applies) so why just limit it (let's forget money), how can you say that in tracks like shangai or barheim you can't have enough garages , Why not 1 car for privateers like tom said? even with their own classification (just like wtcc) we should have more exciting races

That's not a rumour, really, they have already said it out loud. But MF1 commented they were not for sale. It's a bit ackward in every GP having news about changes in the team and interests in selling that are never actually confirmed (and often officially denied). I know MF1 doesn't really have a large sympathy credit among fans and press, but I think they deserve a break...

That is just what Mosley said without ever confirming it with any official document. It is only his word with nothing to back it up.

actually wont it be nice to allow this other teams wanting to compete in f1.. if they could get 20 cars on a grid and make it a formula 1 (B) championship where the top 3 from this championship will be promoted and the bottom 3 frm the curent formula 1 championship will be relegated.. make sure that the same rules and car specifications be in both series...
itll be like football..

Okay, raise your hand if anybody has 55 million dollars in this forum, I see nobody, why would you ask a question like that? I know why, you want to get as many posts as possible, The number of posts do not mean anything, so why do you concentrate on replies that just show icons or ask questions/statements that just seem ludicrious. You have the highest post per day even beating manchild.!!! This is one is a personal picture to you Acer/Ranger/Jason
