they make their own suspension or bought from merc?
They make their own; the geometry is not that different to 2022, but they moved the wishbone pickup points up (or lowered the bulkhead by a cm or two).

What could be expected? The RB18 was very dominant… Convergence with the regulations was expected… Why not follow a concept that showed it worked?
I'm not saying it's right or wrong, just stating the obvious.
Sometimes converging to what proved to be the best works well, other times not so much. We'll have to wait and see.

Looks like it is a side protection crash structure lower beam. Interesting, why they exposed it like that. Probably they want to extend the entry to the verturis as much forward as possible?

Well, that’s all we have to judge by right now :)

But, there was a lot of talk about how with the changes in the floors, having a bit of rake (in order to not only increase downforce, but better manage suspension compliance) was to be expected… Pictures of the 2023 Alpine seem to show some rake also while on their shakedown… I would have expected a bit more rake now that the teams understand how to work with the Venturi tunnels a bit more.

Stella has already commented that there has been a particular weak area of last years car which was very difficult to address. They are not 100% satisfied with the launch spec because of this.

This mystery weakness will be addressed with updates in the upcoming months as they finally found a way to go around it.

I believe the mystery weakness is either the weak frontend (including chronic understeer) or the weak traction.

Let's hope the car starts out strong. With updates in the pipeline that should give the team a good confidence boost.
