It's the front wing. It has been long coming to see the true 2024 front wing.

I think the comment about "revolutionary to how their cars will be built for the future" is interesting because as I suspected, it is impossible to truly prevent teams from developing ideas, concepts, and architecture which are compatible with both the current and the 2026 regulations.

That would makes a lot of sense with the failed crash test when there doesn't seem to be anything about the current FW that would indicate having trouble with the test/pushing the limits.

First package will be quite significant. Seems floor is likely

Vorticism continues to provide interesting ideas:

I butchered one of Vorticism's drawings to show how a double sidepod could pass the 2 section test:

However, I don't know if the radiator inlet is permitted to be so far backwards so I still don't think such an idea could be legal.

That's not the way to make it legal, there's no way to make that design legal. 2 sections are allowed along the Y axis and having a wall in front of sidepod inlet will always generate at least 3 sections, possibly 4 if that wall also touches the floor anywhere.
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

Any hints of a Suzuka upgrade for the car?
vorticism:

RB20 development speculation: Suzuka spec sidepods.

what would this achieve other than create a lot of drag?

.
Red Bull will not change to the ‘zeropod’ concept, despite what was previously suggested.
Red Bull are undoubtedly the favourites heading into this weekend in Japan. However, weather forecasts indicate rain could play a factor in Suzuka this weekend. This could throw a spanner in the works and provide the likes of Ferrari and McLaren with a chance to disrupt the Austrian team’s plans.

I feel like 3 tenths to the nearest team should be the normal gap we have pre-update considering our strengths here and results from Jeddah and Bahrain, I’d hope the new floor provides us with at least a couple of tenths.

If it rains it might be hard to even find the correct set-up.

Friday in parts will likely be dry, same with Saturday. Sunday seems to be the main threat of rain so wouldn’t surprise me if teams opt for a little more downforce in anticipation
