My uncle would bend over for a spin in Alpine!

I heard million stories from him about Andruet, Anderson, Nicolas, first Renault's WRC Title in 1973...

Best he ever got into was Renault's rally team R8 Gordini...

What color is it (blue I hope), got any photos? Avatar

Not blue - I half wish it was, but also quite like it as it is. It is a 1300S with front rad, 5 speed 'box and "big brakes". The engine is basically an R8 Gordini with a little "extra" - 124bhp on the rolling road, not bad for a push rod engine of that age. I understand that the 1300S was used by the works team until 1971, after which the famous 1600S and the 1800GP IV cars were produced.

You hardly ever see two A110's the same, they all seem to have been changed in some way or other.

These are quite mad (and LOUD!) little cars and under some conditions are surprisingly quick even today.........

"SISU" (pronounced SEE-SUE) is the Finnish word and philosophy of getting something that needs to be acomplished will be, no matter what the cost. It was a cross-country thing with my team. Then 16: 18 is my best 3 mile time and was the cousre record at our home course last year until I beat it this year.
