Ecclestone satisfied with "most wins takes title"

Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone is very satisfied with the decision of the FIA to chance the points system in Formula One. Yesterday, the World Motor Sport Council decided that the driver who wins most races will be crowned World Champion.

Ecclestone said to BBC Radio: "It's a modification of my idea of medals, it's a good start. The idea is to get people racing so if somebody is second he'll go for the win rather than thinking that, if he happens to get past, he'll only gain two points more - that's not a big motivation to try and get past somebody."
